Cruger and Burke, on their election as representatives in
Parliament for the city of Bristol, in opposition to the
ministerial interest.
  Hail to the man whose gen'rous soul disdains
  The golden clog of ministerial chains!
  Who, 'midst surrounding sycophants of pow'r,
  (Machines of state, meer puppets of an hour)
